New Volunteers: Respect In Sport Activity Leader Course Codes

A message for SMHA Volunteers from Craig Foley, SMHA Risk Management

-------------------------------------

Hello everyone,

A number of you have experienced issues with the Respect In Sport Activity Leader training in relation to the user code. The cause of the issue was that we had exhausted our current number of user passes. We have now obtained more and were advised by the company that things should be up and running again.  If you have any issues with this or other volunteer requirements please feel free to contact me at RiskManagement@FlyersHockey.ca

Please visit the Coaching & Volunteer Certifications page of our website for more information.

Thank you for volunteering !

For U9, the tournament features 2 x 20 minute straight time periods.  You are guaranteed 4 games.  All U9 players will participate in the Crosby Shootout for Novices.  At the end of each game 2 skates from each team on each surface will have one attempt to score on the opposing team's goaltender.  By the end of the tournament every skater and all goaltenders from all teams will have participated in the Shootout and receive a gift donated by the Crosby family.

We look forward to seeing all of you in Cole Harbour in March 2022 for The Joe, and if you have any questions please do not hesitate to reach out at your convenience, and I will get back to you as soon as I can.

2021-2022 SMH HOCKEY POOL

With the first night of the NHL Hockey Season over it's a great time to start up the 2021-2022 SMH Hockey Pool!

Click link to download the Hockey Pool Form and start selling your pools.

The form is setup to be filled out digitally but users will have to save to their PC and open from there. Once they fill out their info at the top and their picks there are a few buttons along the bottom to help simplify getting the forms to email.

  • "CLEAR" - this button removes all the information from the form to start over.
  • "SUBMIT" - this button packages the file and attaches it to an email to send. (Please note for webmail this will likely show up in your drafts)
  • "PRINT" - this button is to print a paper copy as well as printing to a PDF manually.

This has been a great fundraiser the past few years and as always we have some great cash prizes!

  • 1st Prize: $10,000.00
  • 2nd Prize: $2000.00
  • 3rd Prize: $1000.00

Hockey Pool scoring details are on the top of the form and all other information should be available in the Hockey Pool Info Page on our website.

Each team should designate one person to collect and submit their team's pools.
Please provide this person's information to Marc as soon as possible so he can get them setup and familiar with the Hockey Pool database.

For all questions and inquiries about the hockey pool please contact:
Marc Lanthier hockeypool@flyershockey.ca
