Referee Development Opportunity

A Message from Todd Thomander, our Referee in Chief

Sackville Minor Hockey has had a long history of producing some of the top hockey officials in the province. As many of you know, one of our alumni is a current NHL official, but we also have many current and former QMJHL officials as well.

This is my 4th year as RIC for SMH and during my time, I have seen some great young kids move on to do higher levels of hockey, which is always the goal. Hockey players have a goal of moving on to higher levels, and referees have those same kind of opportunities.

I am reaching out to all current U15/U18 players in our organization, for anyone who wants to learn more about refereeing and have the opportunity to ask questions to current officials, at various levels.

Saturday, March 26th - Sackville Arena

9:30-10:45am Mezzanine. Presentation / Question & Answer
11am-12pm On ice Session. Puck drop / Offside / Icing

Please email me at RIC@FlyersHockey.ca with your Name, Age, Current Team if you are interested in attending this session, just to learn more about Officiating and the opportunities available.

Thank You

Todd Thomander
