Update October 29
Hello team,
This weekly email is going to pack a lot of information so I apologize in advance. I’m trying to refrain from flooding your inboxes with numerous emails and keeping them minimal but we are moving fast and furious (that’s a good thing, right?)

Team photos:
We were able to secure Scott from Halifax photography for our photos this year. These will take place at 5pm on Friday, November 15th before our 5:30 practice at ECV. Each player will get individual photos taken, followed by a team photo. We meet the deadline to receive them in time for the holidays but he said expect a 4 week turn around time so it will be tight! Please see below message from Scott:
Please find below a link to the order form for your team’s photo session. Parents will need to go to the link in order to enter their information.
Please note that you must enter and submit your order via the link below.
Payment is due in the form of cash on photo day.
Please have parents bring their payment in a sealed envelope, labeled with their player and team name for photo day. We will have extra envelopes on site as well.
The Joe tournament:
I’m excited to announce that we were officially accepted into the Joe LaMontagne Memorial Tournament. This is a full ice tournament that takes place over March break. Although I don’t have the official schedule yet, I can share that U9 games will take place on Monday March 10th and Tuesday March 11th. I know this is over March break and during the weekday so I wanted to give family’s as much notice as I could.
Bottle drive:
The request was submitted. They are slowly working their way at placements and asking for everyone’s patients. When I know more, so will you haha.
SMHA Webpage:
For those of you who are not familiar with it, the link below will bring you to our official Grayjay “webpage” where you’ll be able to access our full schedule , including games and all of our emails in one place under the tab “news”. I encourage you to explore it and get familiar with it. You are also able to subscribe to the schedule so that it syncs with the calendar on your phone. This is a great resource to utilize when it comes to staying organized and finding everything in one place.
Click here to access the page. You can also access it directly on the SMHA website under the division tab - U9 advancing - Sackville ADV 2.
We will continue to utilize TeamSnap for our availability and our FB chat for quick communication. We seem to have a good system going!
To finish off this information overload, please note you’ll notice that starting in January our Friday night 5:30 skates will switch from ECV to SSS. This is to balance out travel time amongst the U9 teams.
As always, don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any questions.
