HNS has set the structure for next season. HNS Structure 2022-23 The top levels of U13, 15 and 18 can begin tryouts 15 Sep.  U15 Major and U16AAA Minor teams must be finalized by 12 Sep.  SMHA intends to begin U13AAA and U15AA tryouts around this date.  We will make a decision on U18AA once more is known about High School tryouts.  NSSAFs plan for 22-23 says High School hockey tryouts can start on 16 Sep but does not indicate when teams must be finalized and we do not want our players in two tryouts at the same time. The tentative plan will be to host U13AAA and U15AA tryouts, with its own fee, TBC.

 

Additionally, East Hants will have its own AAA team this season.  Players that do not make our association's AAA team and are released will have the opportunity for a second tryout.  HNS will determine what association that second tryout will be with.  At this time I am unsure of the process to determine where players will be sent but will try to get the formal process.

 

All other competitive teams and divisions will start tryouts as of 1 Oct.  Parents and Guardians need to be aware that the tryouts that begin on 1 Oct will be stand alone and independent of any previous tryouts.
