Sackville

Big W in Yarmouth

The boys took their size and talent down to Yarmouth for the season opener and handled business!!

Some offensive zone penalties put the flyers off to a bad start, despite dominating 5v5 that saw them off to a 2-1 deficit early in the first, but it was Johnny on the spot, Smitty, who potted his second of the 1st period to tie the game up, and the boys never looked back.

The Spiderman, Peter Parker Anderson capitalized on a dominant shift from the spark plug line that saw him bury back to back goals after the boys grinded it out in the corners.

Second period was as dominant as the first but the only goal came from The Big Harv, who buried home a beauty shot on a 2 on 1 after a nice dish from Lively that all started with a textbook breakout.

The boys took their 5-2 lead into the intermission, kept their cool and realized that the game was far from over and you can’t win a game after 2 periods.

The 3rd period was business only, as the boys kept their emotions in check while still keeping their foot on the gas peddle, finishing every check and dominating in the offensive zone.

Rookie forward Hubs took one for the boys at the end of the game, letting Spidey and Smitty go out 4 on 4 while they were both on hat trick watch (that’s a real teammate right there) and they made sure to reward it as Parker buried home is hat trick with a big smile in front of the net as per usual capping off a dominant game.

Thats just the start The Flyers needed to set a statement game for the league.

Friday night vs Bedford and then our home opener against South Shore Sunday night!!
